Thor's Story
Thor is a striking black-and-white “cow cat” with a big personality and an even bigger heart. At just about 2 years old, this sweet boy has already overcome more than most cats ever should—and he’s done it all with resilience, curiosity, and love.

Thor cannot use his back legs, and while we don’t know what caused his condition, what we do know is that it doesn’t slow him down. After evaluation, our vet recommended against amputation because Thor gets around just fine as he is—and he truly does! He’s learned how to navigate his space, including using a low-sided litter box with ease, and he adapts impressively to his environment.

Thor’s story began when a kind young man found him and tried to help, even convincing his family to give Thor a small safe space in their laundry room. Unfortunately, Thor wasn’t able to stay. When we got the call, we knew we had to step in—and we’re so glad we did.

Today, Thor is thriving. He’s been neutered, vaccinated, and SNAP tested (negative), and he’s discovering all the joys of being safe and cared for. He loves his scratching post, enjoys playtime, and has an adorable habit of sleeping with one leg draped over his head.

Most of all, Thor is a total lovebug. He’s affectionate, friendly, and a bit of a talker—he’ll happily chat with you about his day. He seems comfortable around other cats and would likely do well in a home with respectful children. We’re not yet sure how he feels about dogs.

Thor will do best in a home that understands his special needs and is ready to give him a safe, indoor environment where he can continue to thrive. In return, he’ll give you endless affection, companionship, and inspiration.

If you’re looking for a truly special cat with a resilient spirit and a loving soul, Thor is your guy.
